Directly inspired by vintage aviator watches, this Alpina Startimer Pilot is a sporty and robust chronograph which, thanks to its large photo-luminescent indexes and Arabic numerals, offers perfect readability in all environments.
Collection
True to the roots of the Alpina brand, anchored in the world of aviation since its beginnings, this watch with its typical aviator style is a must-have in the Startimer collection. In the purest Swiss traditions, this watch has been designed to offer optimal readability with thick indexes and large Arabic numerals. Its movement is equipped with a chronograph complication which, thanks to the presence of sub-counters, calculates times by pressing the push buttons. It is a quality watch stamped with the precious "Swiss made" label that will satisfy the most demanding among you.
Housing
Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case of this Alpina measures 44mm in width and 13mm in total thickness. Its caseband is brushed, while its chamfers and bezel are polished to add a touch of elegance. The whole thing is topped with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and fitted with a solid caseback adorned with an engraving of the brand's logo with an airplane against a backdrop of the Swiss Alps.
Dial
Its blue dial features a matte finish to limit the effects of light. This dial prioritizes readability with bold, contrasting indexes and large Arabic numerals. The sub-counters are used to display the seconds, total the countdown over 30 minutes, and then over 10 hours. At 6 o'clock, there is a large date with two black discs. As for the hands, all are white and pear-shaped, while the one dedicated to the chronograph seconds is thin with a red triangular base.
Movement
This Alpina watch is powered by a quartz movement, caliber AL-372, whose battery provides approximately 48 months of battery life. Afterward, it is very easy to replace.
Bracelet
This model from the Startimer collection is mounted on a brown leather strap, measuring 22mm in width at the lug and tapering to 20mm towards the buckle. It is equipped with a stainless steel pin buckle clasp.
Waterproofing
