Thus, at 3 a.m., in addition to local time, a view of the Earth in Al Biruni projection (seen from the North Pole, with equidistant meridians) allows the time to be seen everywhere on Earth at a glance. The solar and lunar glyphs show the meridians that pass at noon and midnight in real time.
At 9 o'clock the small seconds hand counts the time at 2.5Hz.
At 6 o'clock, an optional counter in the form of a rotating hourglass fills and empties to indicate the winding status of the barrel throughout its 42-hour power reserve.
Finally, at 12 o'clock, we find a rare display that combines the 24-hour clock as well as day and night, calculated... for Mars.

A technical curiosity, this display allows those who use it to know precisely when to send communications towards our red neighbor in order to guarantee good reception. Indeed, if it is night on Mars, it is because the latter "turns its back" to the Sun (and to the Earth) and the radio waves coming from our world will not reach the targeted surface.
